JUST ARRIVED:

The new Montecristo ESPADA Series!

Cigar history in the making: The first-ever Nicaraguan puro Montecristo, the Espada Series is the brainchild of a collaboration between Montecristo and thePlasencia Family. Each Espada (or “sword”) is constructed of an incredible blend of aged tobaccos: the wrapper is 2010 Habano Jalapa; the binder is 2009 Jalapa; and the filler — all vintage 2008 — is a combination of Habano Jalapa seco, Habano Ometepe viso, and Habano Ligero from the Condega region.

What does all this mean? It means a smoke of astonishing complexity and boldness, a real powerhouse in terms of strength and flavor. We carry three vitolas: the Ricasso (5″ x 54), the Guard (6″ x 50), and the Quillion (7″ x 56).

Check out the stirring press release video here…and then hie thyself to ASW to try it post-haste!

JUST ARRIVED:

The Illusione Singularé ROSE CROIX!

An elusive release from December 2013, the Rose Croix from Illusione Cigarsis their annual limited-run Singularé. Another Nicaraguan puro, Measuring in at 7″ x 46 (halfway between a Churchill and a Lancero), it’s a formidable smoke comprised of Aganorsa tobaccos from the Jalapa and Esteli regions; the wrapper is also Jalapa, though of corojo seed. As such, it starts out on the spicy end of things and mellows out into a rich coffee/leather flavor as it burns. A fine smoke for a lazy summer evening out-of-doors.
We’ve received 4 of the original 900 boxes, so stop down and try a Rose Croix while supplies last!
