A relatively recent release from Ventura Cigars, the Psyko Seven Maduro is a flavorful variation on the original, highly popular Psyko series. The original Psyko filler blend consists of a heady combination of Nicaraguan and Pennsylvanian ligero, Peruvian pelo de oro, Honduran holancha seco, and a Dominican leaf referred to as “Hybrid #2.” In this instance, the binder is Ecuadorian “Hybrid 151,” and the wrapper is a rich, toothy San Andrés. This powerful mix provides a hearty smoke redolent of cocoa, spices (predominantly cinnamon and nutmeg), and a hint of fruity sweetness.
