Summertime Smoking Dept.:
Now that the weather is heating up, we want to keep you abreast of what is HOT!Thus, here are last week’s front-runners (excluding old standbys such as ASW,Rocky Edge, or Perdomo Fresco): In 1st place, we have Erik Espinosa’s outstanding La Zona Connecticut; 2nd Place goes to the Nomad 8613 by Fred Rewey’s Nomad Cigar Company; and 3rd Place was a tie between theCurivari Reserva Limitada 2000 and the Azan White by Roberto P. Duran!
La Zona Connecticut is a pleasant, mild cigar reminiscent of the discontinued601 Connecticut Black Label; Nomad 8613 is a little more robust, a medium-bodied smoke featuring an Ecuadorian habano wrapper; the Curivari 2000 is a terrific Nicaraguan puro with a nice bit of peppery body to it; and the Azan Whitecombines Nicaraguan fillers with Brazilian matafina and an Ecuadorian corojo wrapper for a truly flavorful experience. If you have yet to try any of these new favorites, broaden your horizons! Stop by and pick up a few “new classics” today!
