The new Room 101 BIG PAYBACK!

You know what they say about payback? Well, in this instance, it’s payback in the sense of gratitude. Says Matt Booth of Room 101: “I propose we give back to those who helped us get there in the first place…The cigars in this series are priced well below where they should be.  This is a Payback of a different sort – my payback to you for the support and dedication over the years.”
His new cigar, The Big Payback, is a phenomenal little powerhouse of Nicaraguan puro at an incredibly reasonable price and absolutely loaded with flavor. If you haven’t yet tried any of Room 101’s offerings, here’s an excellent place to start.
We just got our first box, in the “Chavala” size (5″ x 50), so come on down to ASW for a little payback!

The Camacho LIBERTY SERIES 2014 is in!

Good timing, too; we just ran out of the 2013 edition a few weeks ago. These annual releases from Camacho Cigars are always a hit, and this year’s variety will be no exception.
As before, the tobaccos selected are from supplies too limited to be used for mass production, hence this limited run of 2,000 boxes. (We got boxes #40 and #41, in case you were wondering.) This year, the Liberty features a 2005 Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a 2006 Corojo binder, and a pleasant blend of Nicaraguan.Dominican fillers.
Available in one size only — an 11/18 figurado — and each cigar is packaged in an individual mini-box.
Stop down and give the 2014 Liberty a shot!

The Matilde RENACER Series!

Legendary Dominican blender Jose Seijas has finally made his triumphant return to the cigar world, and has launched a new company called Matilde Cigars as a tribute to one of the Dominican Republic’s original cigar manufactories, Tabacalera La Matilde.
Jose’s debut, a new line called Renacer, is a real knockout: a Dominican/Nicaraguan filler and Dominican binder finished with a wrapper of Ecuadorian Habano to produce an outstanding, full-bodied blend with notes of pepper, floral accents, and a very subtle hint of sweetness.
We’ve received three sizes of the Renacer: the corona (5 1/2″ x 44), the robusto (5 1/4″ x 54), and the toro bravo (6 1/2″ x 54). Try one next time you’re in, and marvel at the sure hand of a master at work!

Pittsburgh Pipe Club meets this weekend!

Don’t forget: The Pittsburgh Pipe Club will meet here at ASW on Saturday, July 12th. If you’re looking for a bunch-of like-minded tobacco connoisseurs to hang out with (or if you need some new equipment or want to try a new blend), this is where you’ll find ’em! Come see us!
